Department of Physics, the newest department in the campus, offers Integrated M Sc. Physics, a Ten semester programme. The core Physics include advanced specialization courses like Quantum Nanostructure/Flexible Electronics, it also include course like Mathematical Physics and cover all foundation courses in Physics. The complementary courses of this programme are Mathematics and Chemistry. The students who complete our Integrated M Sc. Physics programme can pursue Ph.D programmes in Physics/Nano Technology/Photonics/Astro Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science/Inter disciplinary etc leading to research and teaching profession.

    Eligibility
    • Pass in 10+2 /equivalent with 60% marks in Science stream (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) .
    Procedure for the preparation of rank list
    • Total marks obtained in Part III of the qualifying examination less handicap marks plus marks obtained for the Physics plus bonus marks if any.
    Instructions
    • Only online applications will be accepted. Application fee should be remitted online.
    • Application fee is Rs 400/- (Rs 200/- for SC/ST candidates.
    • Students who have already submitted the enquiry form must also fill the online application.
    • Single application is sufficient for all UG programmes.
    • Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
    • Admission to management seats will be made by the Management. Interested students can apply. Rs 500 extra.
    • Candidates applying under management/community quota have to download an additional form after registration. The form has to be filled and submitted to the college office.
    • Age proof (10th Matriculation Certificate), Proof of eligibility certificates for bonus marks must be uploaded.
    • Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. However, admission process can be completed only after the submission of result of the qualifying examination.

The Integrated Master of Science in Physics (Quantum Nanostructures/Flexible Electronics) program follows a semester-based course structure and continuous evaluation within an innovative academic curriculum. The key features of the programme is the thrust given to the foundation topics in Physics and Mathematical Physics, it also gives ample importance to advanced areas in Physics and elective subjects. The core Physics include advanced job oriented courses like Flexible Electronics and Nanotechnology. Eligible students will get opportunity to do their Research Project/ Internship/ Hands on Training in these job oriented areas of technology.

There are summer projects (non-credit course) during the first and second year summer vacation and gain industrial/academic/research training. The students will be given an opportunity to undertake 6th semester project outside the college in association with premier scientific research organisations/industries in the country/ aboard to meet with challenges in research at the global front.

The Integrated M.Sc Physics program follows a semester-based course structure and continuous assessment within an innovative academic curriculum. The key features of the programme is the thrust given to the foundation topics in Physics, Mathematical Physics and practical Physics it also gives ample importance to advanced areas in Physics and specialization subjects. The core Physics includes specialization courses in Quantum Nanostructures/ Flexible Electronics. Eligible students will get opportunity to do their Research Project/ Internship/ Hands on Training in the areas of advanced Science/Technology. The students will be given an opportunity to undertake final project outside the college in association with premier scientific research organisations/industries in the country/ abord which will certainly enhance their self-confidence to meet with challenges in research at the global front. This program offers students a higher level of education in basic sciences to enable them to tackle complex Physics problems compromising both academics as well as industrial fields. Outcome Based Syllabi are designed to furnish the growing need of industries and research. Class room teaching includes tutorials with problem solving approach, laboratory observations and assignments. It aims at developing awareness, aspiration and innovative ability to solve new scientific problems.

The number of courses of the Integrated M.Sc Physics programme consist of Twenty four core theory (Physics) courses including Five Mathematical Physics courses, Fourteen core practical courses, One Elective theory course and One elective practical from the frontier areas of the core subjects, Three specialization theory courses and Two specialization practical courses in advanced areas of Physics, One research project in the area of Physics, Four complementary (Mathematics) courses, Four complementary (Chemistry) courses, Two complementary (Chemistry) practical courses, Two English courses, One Environmental Science course, One Human Rights course and One Research Methodology course.

The programme offers Six extra credit courses in Machine Learning and also offer Three summer projects.

Integrated M.Sc. Physics programme offer Eight non-credit courses which are highly related to day to day life and have much importance in skill development of the students.
